Miranda & Amado has been recognized by international consultancy firm Transactional Track Record – TTR as Peru’s 2016 number one legal advisor on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, by volume of transactions.

TTR’s annual report shows that Miranda & Amado advised on eight mergers and acquisitions transactions with a total value of USD 2.778 billion.  The value of transactions in private equity and venture capital totaled USD 68.80 million.

One of the transactions Miranda & Amado advised on was the sale of Duke Energy International’s energy infrastructure assets in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala and El Salvador, with a value of USD 1.2 billion.  Such transaction has been recognized by TTR as the “most important deal in Latin America” in the last quarter of 2016.

The ranking considers transactions announced between January 1 and December 31, 2016, as well as purchase and sale transactions of ownership shares. Transactions may already be closed or remain announced during this period.
