His professional practice focuses on energy sector (renewable and conventional generation, transmission, and distribution) and hydrocarbons (production, transportation, and distribution), in areas related to regulatory framework of electricity, natural gas, and hydrogen, tariff regulation, relations with authorities, project development and financing. Additionally, throughout his professional development, he has led various tariff regulation procedures, contractual and regulatory negotiations with the Peruvian State and regulated and free users, administrative sanctioning procedures, legal-regulatory advice, national and international arbitrations, infrastructure development and construction, and debt structuring, mergers, and acquisitions of companies in Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and the United States. He joined the firm as counselor in October 2024. Previously, he was Partner & Country Manager at Calden Consultoría S.A.C. (2020 – 2024), Director of Regulatory, Legal, Sustainability, Communications and PR Affairs at Gas Natural de Lima y Callao S.A. (2004 – 2019), Director of Regulatory and Legal Affairs at Contugas S.A.C. (2012 – 2013), Member of the Executive Committee of Energy Related Arbitration Practitioners (2022), President of the Board of the Peruvian Chamber of Vehicular Natural Gas (2016 – 2017), Member of the Board of Dunas Energía S.A.A (2019), Vice President of the Legal Committee of Hydrocarbons, the Natural Gas Committee, and the Hydrocarbons Sector Committee of the National Society of Mining, Petroleum, and Energy (2017 – 2019), and Arbitrator of the National and International Arbitration Center of the American Chamber of Commerce (2021 to date). Amadeo earned his law degree from Universidad de Lima, holds a Master’s degree in Energy Management (MSc) from Universidad ESAN, and a Certification in Business Administration from Yale School of Management. In 2005, he was admitted to the Lima Bar. He is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent English.
