For the second consecutive year, Miranda & Amado organized an event that provided clients an opportunity to reflect on the legal risks that companies are facing today in Peru. This year, the theme focused on “The In-House Counsel Team as a Business Strategic Partner.”

The purpose of this breakfast meeting, which took place at the Belmont Park Hotel on Tuesday, June 20, was to analyze how the In-House Counsel Team should interact with other business departments, the board of directors and with the company’s shareholders, as well as to share practical tools for developing job skills and strategies.

Miranda & Amado partner Juan Luis Avendaño moderated the event.  The panel included Miranda & Amado partner Nathalie Paredes, as well as Belcorp’s Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs Maria Lizzy Massa, BCP’s Legal Division Director Guillermo Morales, and Hochschild Mining’s Vice President of Legal and Corporate Affairs José Augusto Palma, all of whom shared their experience with the attendees.

Additionally, the results of Miranda & Amado’s second “Annual Survey on Legal Risks” were reviewed during the event, analyzing the evolution of the indicators in the past 12 months.
