Miranda & Amado announces the winners of the Third National Contest on Labor Litigation

After three months of hard work and dedication, the third edition of the National Contest on Labor Law Litigation, organized by the Miranda & Amado law firm, with the participation of the Derecho y Sociedad magazine published by Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), and sponsored by Banco de Crédito del Perú, came to an end.

During the last hearing, the “Onus Probandi” team (the defendants), made up by Rosa Yasmín Cavalcanti Del Águila and Edwin Calderón Huamán, law students at Universidad San Cristóbal de Huamanga in Ayacucho, prevailed over the “Work Up” team (the plaintiffs), made up by Margareth Leidy Medina Obregón and Jerson Alberto Flores from Universidad Nacional Federico Villareal.

Distinguished judges Víctor Malca Guaylupo, Enrique Rodas Ramírez and Inés Zúñiga Herrera were responsible for evaluating and grading both teams and selecting the winner.

Moreover, the “Adhuc Stantes” team, made up by María Ysabel Portilla Altamirano and Bruno José Sagástegui Sánchez from Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, came in third, and Rosalie del Milagro Quiñones from Universidad Mayor de San Marcos won the award for best speaker.

This edition saw the participation of over one hundred Law students from all over Peru, who had the opportunity to experience litigation—oral, written and audiovisual—in labor matters at its highest level, before lawyers and judges currently in office. This will enable them to consolidate their academic and professional training.
