Last March 20th, together with the prestigious British guide “The Legal 500”, we organized a roundtable in which the current role of Legal Departments was discussed, together with the management of legal risk and corporate compliance.

The event, hosted by Tim Girven, Latin America editor of The Legal 500, brought together legal department heads and law firm partners, who shared opinions concerning the current role of legal departments and their responsibilities with regard to compliance programs within their organizations.

In the current climate, reputation and compliance have taken on greater relevance within organizations, and a key player in this scenario is the legal department. Discussion spaces like these allow us to focus on the outlook and challenges we face as legal advisors in terms of compliance.

The aim of the roundtables organized by The Legal 500 is to provide a space for discussion of crucial business topics, encouraging the development of proposals to address such topics through the exchange of information.
