We assisted Canadian company Empress Royalty in the negotiation, execution and closing of a metal purchase and sale agreement for exportation of future gold production (streaming) for US$ 10 million with miner Sierra Antapite S.A.C., which owns the Antapite mine and plant in Huancavelica, Peru. The deal closed on July 28, 2021 and the upfront payment under the contract was made on July 30, 2021. The purchase and sale agreement is subject to the laws of British Columbia, Canada and the security structure, consisting of the amendment of existing trust contracts over the main assets and certain cash flows of Sierra Antapite, is governed by Peruvian law.
