He has spearheaded numerous mergers and acquisitions in the past years, counseling local and foreign companies. He also advises international investors in corporate disputes, as well as in investor-state investment disputes. He is a founding partner of Miranda & Amado (1999). Previously, he was an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, New York from 1997 to 1998, and at Estudio Echecopar from 1994 to 1996. Luis is a lawyer from Universidad de Lima and holds an LL.M. from The University of Chicago Law School. He is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English.
