His professional practice focuses on litigation and arbitration, primarily in representing and advising clients in commercial and investment arbitrations at both international and local levels, in complex disputes related to regulatory matters, energy, mining, hydrocarbons, infrastructure projects, construction, corporate disputes, among others. He also advises clients in judicial litigation, including constitutional, civil, commercial, and administrative contentious disputes. He joined the firm as an Associate in 2011. He was an associate attorney in the international arbitration area at King & Spalding LLP in New York during the years 2016 and 2017. Luis Alonso holds a Law degree from the University of Lima and a Master’s degree in International Economic Law from Stanford University. He has been a professor at the Law School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru since 2021 to date. He has also taught courses at the Law School of the University of Lima. His native language is Spanish, and he is fluent in English.
